Art of Nature Contemporary is pleased to collaborate with Qin Feng, a leading figure in China’s avant-garde ink movement.
In traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, viewing begins with the unfolding of the scroll, through which time and space gradually enter perception. Qin Feng extends this Eastern viewing tradition into a contemporary spatial form: scrolls descend vertically, folding fans expand outward, and ink flows continuously between them.
Together, these elements form a work without fixed boundaries, transforming writing into an immersive spatial experience. Through the installation, viewing shifts from observing an image to a bodily encounter with the unfolding of ink; it draws viewers into an immersive experience that unfolds between Eastern philosophy, embodied perception, and the public realm.
